iriver H320

*****

The best gadget I've ever bought 8 Nov 2005

Though I've given the H320 5 stars, I must admit to it having one major drawback. Yes, the sound quality makes Creative Zens and iPods look like transistor radios, and the pure skinnable customisable joy of the thing means it's a pleasure to use, and the range of file formats supported is as good as any out there, but there is a major downside to owning one. In short, what do you call it? The name iriver merely has others looking at you with blank expressions, and it's so much more than an mp3 player.

Ultimately you can call it what you will, because what really matters is that this is a wonderfully flexible bit of kit that meets a range of needs extremely successfully and can be skinned and modded up as much as you want. Playlists are child's play, pictures are easily managed and viewing videos is easy to set up.

We need more people in this country to know about iriver: get one and smirk.
